About Us

We are often asked what made us decide to open up a Bed and Breakfast?

After many years  in retail management, Kim as a Personnel Manager in Morrisons and Kevin as a Manager in Tesco and then B and Q, our goal was to open our own business, and work for ourselves.

Our first attempt was in 2004, when we decided to become landlords in Perth, Scotland, buying 19 properties before the 2008 financial crisis put an end to that dream.

So, in 2013 when  we decided to try again, we spent much more time and effort looking at what was the right business for us, and our 2 sons. After much consideration we decided a Bed and Breakfast was right for us. So that we could have a beautiful house, that we could decorate and furnish, and then  share with wonderful people from all around the world. Allowing us to  spend our time  meeting these amazing  people, talking to them,  and most importantly providing them with an amazing holiday experience.

Again after much thought and deliberation we decided our Bed and Breakfast had to be in Stirling. Not only  because it is Kevins home town, where most of his friends and family still live (for expert local knowledge ask Kevin), and is an important place to  Kim as she went to university there (and met her husband of nearly 27 years), but also because of its central location at the Gateway to the Highlands with amazing  places to visit such as Stirling Castle and the Wallace Monument, and with friendly pubs, cosy cafes and buzzing restaurants.
